Dapper West Steals Your Heart and Needs Your Help
When in rescue, you have a hard time NOT thinking these babies are cute, but even then, photos come along that pull extra hard on our heart strings. Here is the photo we received on little Dapper West and though we were totally full, he just couldn’t be put down because of prior neglect.
And here is Dapper showing his appreciation (gives great kisses and plenty of them) to the volunteer who pulled him, saving his life.
Now we have to come to you because there was a lot of stuff we couldn’t see in the original photo. Dapper sustained a fairly severe eye injury, has a lump on his tummy (probably an umbilical hernia) and a raw foot from who knows what.
None of these issues slow him down. He is a happy go lucky fellow and we need to get him healthy in the near future to be eligilble for adoption. A few comments from his foster mom:
“This little guy is a pistol. He loves to dance around the house. He and Hugo have made good buddies and they are the perfect size for one another. Because Dapper is shaved down to his skin, he gets cold easily so I have put a sweater on him and Hugo thinks that sweater was put there to aid Hugo in getting Dapper in just the right play position.” See their photo:
Please help this little boy get nursed back to health. We just need to do a series of medical to fix all his neglect related issues that will add up to approximately $600. It is a lot of stuff for an 8lb fellow at the young age of 3 years old.
