Bunches of fluffs need your help!!
Owning a dog can be expensive at times, but sometimes our rescue gets to fix what prior owners let linger or just ignored. In order for them to be adoptable, we need to correct these issues and only have you to turn to bridge this gap.
Michelin Turner
Dear sweet Michelin is a blossoming boy, but just can’t seem to get all his needs met. He is a prime example how bad diet and poor health maintenance can be costly. Just to start the list of things he needs: Cyclosporin for his eyes, medication for his low thyroid, ivermectin for his skin and a loving home to give him time to get it all together. We’ve done many, many tests to figure out what in the world is wrong with him but still all we know is he has borderline thyroid problems. Nothing else definite.

But once he is all fixed up and under control, here is a glimpse of what to expect in the future:

He has a best friend Tyke and needs to get better so he can go to a permanent home just like Tyke.
And now, we need to pay Michelin’s current bill, gulp, gulp, it’s just over $850 now! I had no idea since we had just been doing small things over the past two months, but when I ran the management report out of our accounting system,I just about fell over. This little guy has been gold plated!!

Anthony Valley
How can we deny this face of the treatment he needs:

When he was pulled from the shelter, we thought he was in good shape. You never know what is lerking around the corner. Anthony has a lump/tumor under his chin the size of a bean. You just don’t like to leave those to fate and adopters who want a few years with their new dog often steer away from anything that could contain cancer. He needs it removed and sent for testing. Fortunately we can do this in conjunction with his teeth cleaning to save a little money, but it all adds up quickly. We have also had to wait and treat a lingering kennel cough, causing further delay for him to be considered for adoption. We need $800 to cover all the expenses for this darling 7-8 year old ultimate Tzu Boy.
Anthony thanks you for your contributions to his fund and those of his foster friends.

Winslow Oaks
The medical needs just don’t stop. Winslow was in great shape, having withstood heartworm, kennel cough, and itchy skin, but the morning he woke up to go meet potential parents, he had a HUGE boo-boo on his behind that popped up over night. The formal name is an impacted anal sac and they are PAINFUL. The treatment is quick, but a little invasive, costing $200. His foster mom had to run him to the emergency vet asap so he could go meet his new folks.

Your generosity allowed us to rescue 8 babies the Humane Society of North Texas couldn’t adopt out. We now ask your help for three more.
As we were readying the twelve fluffers scheduled to go to the American Shih Tzu Club in California, we noticed two that were really sick – both were breathing in an open-mouth manner indicating severe upper respiratory. We decided, after talking to Loree in California, that these two needed to be pulled from the transport. So, they became little Lone Star dogs.
Yet another was recently returned to the HSNT and needs us to get her. She was nursing a litter when the bust took place, but now her babies are ready for adoption and she still has a lot of skin problems, so they asked us to take her.
We will need $500 for each of these tiny precious girls to nurse them back to health from kennel cough/borderline pnemonia, various skin problems and eye issues. Additionally, Ms Natasha shown below, has stenotic nares, or pinched nostrils and will most likely need surgery to open up the nostrils so she can breathe better. That surgery typically runs $200-$300.

Tyra Mills North is 5 years old and was barely open mouth breathing due to heavy congestion.

Natasha Mills North is a tiny (4lb) 1 1/2 year old female who had kennel cough on top of nasal snares which inhibit her ability to breathe without surgery.
Gemma Mills North will be with us soon. Her litter of puppies will be up for adoption, but she is not able to make adoption at the Humane Society due to her skin and eye condition, much like the others we rescued.
So all in all, these girls need around $1800 in their funds so we can bring in Gemma and treat all three. I know what you’re going to say, but look at these faces. We just cannot look at these babies in the face and let them go. We have to try. Surely, you can’t blame us for trying to save them?

I am interested in Fizz and Hugo for adoption.
I can foster as well if they get along with other dogs..
I will contribute to the health of these sweet babies too in need!
