Two senior Shih Tzu needed a tiny bit of help this week…Shing and Bok Choy
Yes, if you hadn’t heard, Bok Choy was returned by her adopter because the roommate didn’t want to have to take her out during the day. Last week, I noticed that Bok had a strange, very soft mass on her tummy and so off to the vet she went. Seems she had developed a little hernia - a tear in the wall of her tummy - and her intestines were pushing through the tear. That, of course, needed to be FIXED so she had surgery yesterday and it’s now fixed. Her TINY bill is $293. But now she’s ready to go!!
Shing - Shing has been having urinary problems - he would sometimes urinate in his crate at night and this is unusual behavior for this little cutie. I took him in and had a urinalysis and also a full blood panel and abdominal x-rays on him. Turns out, he is running a raging urinary tract infection and is now on antibiotics. His bill is $372.
