GOMEZ’s TUMOR IS OPERABLE!!

Posted in Uncategorized at 11:57 am by Administrator

Gomez just got the news from the veterinary surgical center in Dallas – his mass is operable.  The surgeon reviewed all of his tests, x-rays and the ultrasound and has determine that it is located in a place that makes it very operable.  She even stated that she’s done several of these before.

She also thinks that it is possible that the “tumor” is a massive infection in the liver and that surgery may remove the problem.  There is still a possibility that the tumor is cancer, so we’ll have to send it off to be analyzed, but she’s at least given us hope.

The estimate is $1800-$2200 so we are now doing a huge fundraiser for Gomez.  Please spread the word – he is adorable, he is sweet and he has had such a horrible few years that he NEEDS to know that we are behind him.   They wanted to schedule the surgery for tomorrow, but we need a few days to raise the money – we’d like to schedule it for this week, regardless, but need to know that we can pay for it.  Update – Wednesday 11-1-2006.  We’ve rescheduled Gomez’s surgery to Monday.  I’m hoping not to have to push it much more!!

Poor little Gomez, prayers go out to him. I am a foster mom too, and I am proud to be with a group that doesn’t put down or turn away the hard cases! I wish I could do more!

My heart goes out to all of the foster parents! As a proud Mama of Chachacha and our new boy Chugger, I appreciate all the foster parents… I wouldn’t have Chugger without the Lhasa – Shih tzu rescue and I’m so thankful for my new bundle of fluff! I wish I could do more too!

With two precious rescue dogs from LSSTLAR of my own, I know what this organization can do for this precious fluff. Our hearts go out to Gomez and his foster family and truly hope that he can fully recover. Minnie and Kelli are so happy to be in our home as we feel very fortunate to have them and we feel so fortunate to LSSTLAR for all they do for these little furballs to get a second chance to have a home that gives them unconditional love, some for the very first time. Thanks to all who make this possible, especially the foster parents who work so hard with these little babies.

I do what I can as a volunteer, and just wish I had more time to do more. I truly believe in this organization and what they do for these precious babies.
