My name is Benjamin and I’M STILL HERE!!!  My foster mom wants to tell you that I am one sweet little guy who deserves to find his “furever” home.  I am the perfect mix of young and fun, yet I enjoy a nap in a lap too!  Let me tell you some new information and then you can read all that happened to me in my original Fluff of the Week story which follows.

I now have one foster brother and I LOVE him!  We play together and particularly like to play tug of war.  If my foster mom is willing to throw a toy, we will chase it and bring it back for more.   Here’s a picture of me with one of my FAVORITE toys!!

I get along with everyone and Mom says that I am just about the perfect dog.  I met my foster mom’s 3 year old great niece and she and I got along famously.  We even took a nap together on the couch!  So, if there were children who know how to respect dogs in my “furever” home, that would be just fine with me.

My foster mom would be happy to tell you lots more about me.  Please email her at pthizzle@hotmail.com.  Also, please check out my Petfinder page.  I KNOW you won’t be disappointed when you meet me!!!

Benjamin (11/22/08)

My name is Benjamin and I am SO VERY HAPPY to be a Lone Star dog!  I was very ill, underweight and in very bad shape when I was found.  And now I am ready for adoption.  WOW!!  I just can’t believe how much I have changed over the past few months.  You can read what Teresa said about me here:  http://lonestarshihtzurescue.com/blog/  Look under the date 9/7/08 for my full story.

But, let me tell you a bit about myself now.  I am a 2 year old very sweet and loving young Shih Tzu boy.  Since I first came to Lone Star I have gained some weight.  When I was found I was starving and very thin.  The veterinarians were not even sure that I would live as I had lapsed into a coma.  I was given fluids, antibiotics and eventually was able to take in nutritious food and supplements.   What a difference in me now!  I am now a strong boy and getting healthier and healthier as each day goes by.  As you can see by my picture I am walking and able to enjoy my life.  I had to have one of my eyes removed due to a old injury, but that does not stop me in the least.  I am one happy guy!!

I love to be with people and enjoy sitting in any lap that comes along.  I get along very well with everybody and I also get along great with my foster brother and sister dogs.  If there were another easy-going dog in my forever home that would be fine with me.  I promise I’ll share your lap!

If you think that I might fit into your family, please contact my foster mom at pthizzle@hotmail.com.  Also, please look at my Petfinder page for even more information.  We hope to hear from you soon!!

I am altered, up-to-date on all my shots and am heartworm negative.
