What a handsome red-haired lad I am and I’m just as sweet as I am good looking! What more could anyone ask for? I am a 2 year old, 14 pound Shih Tzu boy who is ready for his forever home. I was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan and luckily I found my way to Lone Star Shih Tzu Rescue. I now live in sunny Arizona with GREAT foster parents and I must say that I LOVE IT here!!! But, I would really love to find my forever family that I could call my own.
Let me tell you a little about myself. My foster parents nicknamed me Teddy and I like it!! It’s not quite so formal as Edouard. I am very sweet, affectionate, and loving. One of my favorite things to do is to sit on my foster mom’s lap and just look at everything going on around me. Don’t think that I like to sit around all day. I do love to play with my toys and romp with my foster brothers and sisters. We get along very well. Even though I enjoy the company of the other dogs, I would be great as an “only” dog too. That way I wouldn’t have to compete for a lap to relax in! My foster mom says that I am very well-behaved also.
If you think that I might fit into your family, please contact my foster mom at firstname.lastname@example.org I promise I’ll love you and be your faithful companion for many years to come. Also, please check out my Petfinder page for even more information.
I am altered, up-to-date on all my shots and heartworm negative.
My name is Benjamin and I’M STILL HERE!!! My foster mom wants to tell you that I am one sweet little guy who deserves to find his “furever” home. I am the perfect mix of young and fun, yet I enjoy a nap in a lap too! Let me tell you some new information and then you can read all that happened to me in my original Fluff of the Week story which follows.
I now have one foster brother and I LOVE him! We play together and particularly like to play tug of war. If my foster mom is willing to throw a toy, we will chase it and bring it back for more. Here’s a picture of me with one of my FAVORITE toys!!
I get along with everyone and Mom says that I am just about the perfect dog. I met my foster mom’s 3 year old great niece and she and I got along famously. We even took a nap together on the couch! So, if there were children who know how to respect dogs in my “furever” home, that would be just fine with me.
My foster mom would be happy to tell you lots more about me. Please email her at email@example.com. Also, please check out my Petfinder page. I KNOW you won’t be disappointed when you meet me!!!
My name is Benjamin and I am SO VERY HAPPY to be a Lone Star dog! I was very ill, underweight and in very bad shape when I was found. And now I am ready for adoption. WOW!! I just can’t believe how much I have changed over the past few months. You can read what Teresa said about me here: http://lonestarshihtzurescue.com/blog/ Look under the date 9/7/08 for my full story.
But, let me tell you a bit about myself now. I am a 2 year old very sweet and loving young Shih Tzu boy. Since I first came to Lone Star I have gained some weight. When I was found I was starving and very thin. The veterinarians were not even sure that I would live as I had lapsed into a coma. I was given fluids, antibiotics and eventually was able to take in nutritious food and supplements. What a difference in me now! I am now a strong boy and getting healthier and healthier as each day goes by. As you can see by my picture I am walking and able to enjoy my life. I had to have one of my eyes removed due to a old injury, but that does not stop me in the least. I am one happy guy!!
I love to be with people and enjoy sitting in any lap that comes along. I get along very well with everybody and I also get along great with my foster brother and sister dogs. If there were another easy-going dog in my forever home that would be fine with me. I promise I’ll share your lap!
If you think that I might fit into your family, please contact my foster mom at firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, please look at my Petfinder page for even more information. We hope to hear from you soon!!

My name is Griffith and what a sweet boy I am! I am a 2 year old Shih Tzu with a gray and white coat. I weigh about 11 pounds or so. I am as sweet as sweet can be. Take a look at my picture because, not only am I sweet, but I am oh-so-very-cute. I am “charming” my new foster mom and dad….. and, it’s working! They think I am absolutely delightful and are having fun enjoying my antics. I now live in Arizona and WOW is that ever great! It’s warm and dry and I LOVE IT!!
I was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan in Texas.. Luckily he took me to a Veterinarian’s office and he called Lone Star about me. The volunteers there thought that I was definitely worth saving and here I am ready for my “furever” home. I have some damage to my jaw that doesn’t bother me at all. My foster mom thinks that I may have had an accident in the past that caused this. I am very playful and would prefer to play as much as I can! I enjoy my foster brothers and sisters, so another young playful dog in my future would be just fine with me.
My foster mom says that she loves to see me walk and run. I have a very fancy little gait that reminds her of a horse!!! Can you believe that? I also love to cuddle and get pets from everyone who will give me attention. I was very skinny when I was found, but now I am getting stronger. I am healthy now and getting better and better each day. It’s all due to attention, good food, and plenty of love.
If you think I would fit into your home, please contact my foster mom and dad at email@example.com. They will tell you what a special little guy I am. Also, please check out my Petfinder page for even more information. I know that when you meet me, you will love me!!!

My name is Habibah Katy, and I am a VERY cute little Shih Tzu girl. I am 3-4 years old and I weigh about 12 pounds. My foster family calls me Klassy because I am one “Klassy” lady!! Before I came into foster care, I was a breeder dog and had many litters. My coat was in pretty bad shape when I first got here and I had to have it shaved down. Now my hair is growing and I am very pretty. Don’t you think I look great in my little outfit I wore in a parade? I think I looked just like a little princess.
I am just about the best dog there ever was. I am happy and playful, yet I can be a very quiet sweet little lap dog. I love to run and play with my foster brother, so I would love to have another playful dog in my forever home. If my foster brother is tired of playing with me, I am very content to go my own way and play with my toys, or take a long nap in the sun!! I look for the sun coming in the window so that I can take a snooze and feel the warm rays. If there isn’t a sunbeam to nap in I look for a LAP!! Actually my foster mom’s lap in the sun would be the best place for me!!! Life is definitely great and after being a breeder dog, I feel that I deserve to have a warm place and a loving family of my own. Whenever Mom and Dad have visitors I greet them with lots of kisses and am happy to have them in the house. After all, they have LAPS!!! I love to eat and am quite motivated if there happens to be a treat around. My foster mom thinks because of my energy and because I love those treats, I might be great at Agility or some other type of training. I have no idea what Agility is, but it sounds like fun!!! I also love to go on car rides with my foster family. I particularly enjoy looking out the window and seeing the world go by. I am a very healthy little girl. I told you I was the perfect dog!I’d love to be a part of your family. If you would like to know even more about me, please check out my Petfinder page. You can also email my foster mom at firstname.lastname@example.org. She knows what a special little girl I am and she’ll be happy to tell you all about me.
I am altered, up-to-date on all my shots, microchipped, and am heartworm negative.
