OK, what is a Tibetan dog doing with a South American name like Chile?  I’m not really sure!   I like my name, but more important than that, I think I am one lucky boy.  Let me tell you a little bit of my history, and you will see why.

I am a 4-5 year old, 18 pound, beige Lhasa Apso who was rescued by the volunteers at Lone Star from one of the local animal shelters.  I was there because of being labeled a “biter” and was scheduled to be put to sleep.  My previous family took me there because they said that I had bitten one of the neighbors.  Actually, my owner admitted that I was being provoked by that neighbor, but I still wound up at the animal shelter.  I am so grateful for the folks at Lone Star that they found me there and rescued me.  I am now alive and well and hopefully soon I will be able to be adopted by that special someone and find my forever home.

I am pretty much an easy-going, sweet, and loving guy.  I still get a little frightened of strangers (maybe I’m just cautious) and I might “nip” a bit at their heels when I first meet them.  I need to be introduced to new people carefully, but once I get to know you, I am very loving.  I seem to prefer the company of men and I have a favorite volunteer at Lone Star named Harrison.  I follow him everywhere and I trust him.   He also gives me lots of pets!!

I like other dogs, but only if they are more gentle and quiet.  If there are some younger more rambunctious dogs around me, I tend to remind them that they need to behave.  I guess this means that I would do best in a home with either no dog or an older gentle dog.  I also would prefer a family, preferably a couple or single man, with a quiet lifestyle.  No children please as they might not understand my special needs.

I am getting better and better each day and I know that I can be that special dog in your life.  I am very loving to humans I know and trust.  Please help me learn to trust you.  Maybe I could follow you around and be your “little buddy”.  I promise to give you a lifetime of love in return.  If you would like to know more about me, please contact my foster family at sherry352@sbcglobal.net.  You can also check out my Petfinder page!

I am altered, up-to-date on all my shots, and am heartworm negative.
