SPIKE LEE - I’VE BEEN ADOPTED!!!
Spike Lee, that’s my name, and what a WAY COOL name for a WAY COOL dog! I am a 14 pound, blond Shih Tzu. And, just like my namesake, I have tons of personality. Even though they say that I am 8-9 years old, you would never know it. I act much younger and am a super-lively little guy who loves life. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I am truly a lover and I thrive on attention. I follow my foster mom all over the house as I just want to be with her. I love to get all the pets and attention that I can. My foster mom also says that I am a great little guy because I am perfectly house-trained. I love to get treats from my foster mom too, and will eat my little biscuits right then and there. But, if Mom gives me a little soft beef-treat, I will run upstairs with it and hide it in a corner to go back to savor at a later date. Sometimes I forget I hid it though and Mom has to remind me it’s there!
I get along great with other dogs and will play with my foster siblings. I will play with my toys and I particularly like it when Mom plays fetch with me. BUT there is one very special dog that I LOVE to play with who LOOKS JUST LIKE ME!!! This dog lives in Mom’s bedroom closet and when I go in there I see him. When he runs, I run. When I tap on his paw, he taps back. And when I bark at him I can see he’s barking too but I don’t hear anything!! I run from one end of the bedroom to the other watching this dog do the same thing!! Mom laughs at me at tries to tell me that I’m looking at my reflection in her mirror, but I don’t believe her. That’s just another friendly dog for me to play with.
I also love to go on walks and I do very well on a leash. I don’t pull or tug and I am VERY observant of my surroundings. I love to see the birds, squirrels, and ducks. I think that everyone and everything on two or four legs should be my friend!!
I am quite healthy but I do require some eye drops every day. I don’t mind these at all and am very good when my mom is putting the drops in my eyes. Basically I am just a super-cute, super-friendly, lively little guy who would love to find his forever home. No small children please, but ones over 8 years old should be old enough to respect me. Another fun dog to play with would also be GREAT!!
