NADJA – I’VE BEEN ADOPTED!!!

My name is Nadja and I am one lucky little girl. I was rescued from a puppy mill with a few other lucky little fluffs. I now live in a wonderful foster home and am learning how to be a shih tzu!! My foster mom says that I am getting more and more confident each day. I am still a little shy, but once I warm up to you, I am a cuddlebug. I love to be held like a little baby and I will snuggle and cuddle away. I am just so happy to be in a home and not in that horrible puppy mill. Now I hope that I can find a forever home soon. I love my foster mom and my foster siblings, but I know that there is a special forever home waiting for me.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am about 8-10 years old, but I am very young at heart. And you know shih tzus live a long life. I love to play with toys and I will play and play. I never knew what a toy was, so this is something very special to me. When I get tired of playing, I go to MY OWN BED!!! That’s even more special! I sit in my little bed and watch all my foster siblings, until I get tired, then I doze off and take a snooze. I have started socializing with my foster siblings and I now run and race with them outside. It’s just so great to have a yard to run in!!
I am doing very well with housebreaking and my foster mom is quite proud of me. I sleep in my bed or my crate all night long right next to my foster mom’s bed. I am a good girl and sleep the night through. I let my foster mom know when I have to go out in the morning and I also let her know when I’ve finished outside and want to come in.
I am a good eater and I don’t beg for food. When my foster mom gives me a little treat I take it ever so gently from her and then I savor it. Treats are also new to me and I’ve decided that I like them!!!
I have a shrunken eye and we are not sure of why I have that. It doesn’t bother me in the least, but I do have to have eye drops put in twice a day. I’m learning that has to be done, but to be honest with you, I’m not too crazy about the drops. I will learn though, as I know it’s good for me and definitely a necessity. So, if someone is interested in adopting me that person needs to know that I will have to continue my eye medication.
I would love to find my forever home. If you think I could fit into your family, please contact my foster mom at maday0151@yahoo.com. You can also get some more information about me on my Petfinder page. Also, look at the video on my page of how I was rescued from the puppy mill. I would love to be your best friend, cuddle with you, and just love you. Please consider taking me into your home.
I am altered, up-to-date on all my shots, and am heartworm negative.
