My name is Nadja and I am one lucky little girl. I was rescued from a puppy mill with a few other lucky little fluffs. I now live in a wonderful foster home and am learning how to be a shih tzu!! My foster mom says that I am getting more and more confident each day. I am still a little shy, but once I warm up to you, I am a cuddlebug. I love to be held like a little baby and I will snuggle and cuddle away. I am just so happy to be in a home and not in that horrible puppy mill. Now I hope that I can find a forever home soon. I love my foster mom and my foster siblings, but I know that there is a special forever home waiting for me.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am about 8-10 years old, but I am very young at heart. And you know shih tzus live a long life. I love to play with toys and I will play and play. I never knew what a toy was, so this is something very special to me. When I get tired of playing, I go to MY OWN BED!!! That’s even more special! I sit in my little bed and watch all my foster siblings, until I get tired, then I doze off and take a snooze. I have started socializing with my foster siblings and I now run and race with them outside. It’s just so great to have a yard to run in!!
I am doing very well with housebreaking and my foster mom is quite proud of me. I sleep in my bed or my crate all night long right next to my foster mom’s bed. I am a good girl and sleep the night through. I let my foster mom know when I have to go out in the morning and I also let her know when I’ve finished outside and want to come in.
I am a good eater and I don’t beg for food. When my foster mom gives me a little treat I take it ever so gently from her and then I savor it. Treats are also new to me and I’ve decided that I like them!!!
I have a shrunken eye and we are not sure of why I have that. It doesn’t bother me in the least, but I do have to have eye drops put in twice a day. I’m learning that has to be done, but to be honest with you, I’m not too crazy about the drops. I will learn though, as I know it’s good for me and definitely a necessity. So, if someone is interested in adopting me that person needs to know that I will have to continue my eye medication.
I would love to find my forever home. If you think I could fit into your family, please contact my foster mom at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also get some more information about me on my Petfinder page. Also, look at the video on my page of how I was rescued from the puppy mill. I would love to be your best friend, cuddle with you, and just love you. Please consider taking me into your home.

My name is Tiny Tim and I am a 2 year old black and white male Shih Tzu. I am quite small at 7 pounds, so that’s one reason I was named Tiny Tim. Also, my foster mom says that she named me in honor of Tiny Tim in the Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens! I was a little shy and quiet when I first got to my foster home, but I’m getting braver and braver each day. I have started to bark a little and my foster mom says I can bark like a Mastiff. WOW! I am now a very happy little dog and I get along with everyone and everything except CATS!!! I do have fun playing with my foster brothers and sisters so if my forever home had other dogs in it, that would be OK with me.
I love my little white soccer ball and will carry that around with me most of the day. I particularly like to make it squeak!! I have a great face that melts my foster mom’s heart and she gives me treats all day long just because I am so cute. She also says I can do a great Elvis impression, but I’m not exactly sure what that means! I’m just being me!
I have limited sight in one of my eyes, but that doesn’t slow me down one bit. I still love to run with the other dogs, go for long walks, and play fetch with my foster mom. My ideal forever family would have older children for me to play with, but if you have no children in your family, that’s OK too.
If you think I could fit into your family, please email my foster mom at email@example.com. She will tell you what a special young dog I am. You can also check out my Petfinder page to see more information about me.

My name is Sonic and I am the most adorable little shih tzu male you will ever meet. I am about 1-2 years old, have white hair with grey-tipped ears, and I weigh about 12 pounds. I’m just a little guy, but my foster mom says that I am full of love!! I came into foster care from the SPCA as my original owners were not taking very good care of me. I had huge mats in my hair and my coat was all tangled. I had to have all the hair on my back, tail, and ears shaved off as the mats were so thick. Once that was done, I felt GREAT as all the mats and tangles pulled my skin and made it hurt. I became a new man after the shave and have been feeling better and better as time goes on. And, with my new short haircut I am quite the handsome lad!
I am very playful and I love to run and tumble with my foster siblings. It would be fine if there were other playful young dogs in my forever home. I like older kids too, so if my forever home had children to play with that would also be great. But, I would be happy just being an only dog with adults who would be home to play with me a lot. I don’t know that I’d do well with a family that isn’t home to play with me a lot. I love to play fetch and Tug-a-war! I love to sit in my foster mom’s lap and get lots of pets. I promise to give you lots of kisses for all that attention!
One of my favorite things to do is to be outside. I love to walk with my foster mom, but I also just like to sit in the backyard and watch the birds and squirrels. I have good manners and am doing quite well with house training if I must say so myself!! My foster mom says that I am a very good boy as I do what she tells me to do. I sleep in my little crate at night, but to tell you the truth, I REALLY like to sleep on the bed!! My foster mom keeps me in a crate during the day when she isn’t home because I can get a little mischievous when I’m left alone.
If you think I could fit into your family, please contact my foster mom at SonicDavis@pawpawpatch.net. You can also get some more information about me on my Petfinder page. I promise to be the best and easiest dog you will ever have if you give me the opportunity to be part of your family.

My name is Santana and I think I am a Shih Tzu/Poodle Mix. I am about 1½ years old and I weigh 12 pounds. I have the prettiest honey-colored short coat. When it grows out to full length, it will be silky and shiny and I will look even prettier than I do now.
I am very loving and well-behaved. I am also a very happy dog who enjoys life. I love, love, love to be with people. When my foster mom and I go on a walk I greet all the neighbors and look forward to pets and attention from them. I also love my foster brothers and sisters and enjoy playing with them, but my very favorite playmates are people. If I had my choice, I would be in a forever home with older children who would play and play with me. Younger children are a bit too rambunctious for me. I do love other dogs, and I am used to playing with dogs, so I really need a home that has another young dog to be my friend. In fact, I would love a forever home with BOTH older kids and a dog…. WOW, that would be perfect!!
I am also a very intelligent little dog and my foster mom says that I am perfectly house trained. I don’t have a favorite toy to play with. I just love to be around people and other dogs. That’s the perfect pastime for me. I want so much to love and be loved. I promise that if you bring me into your home I will be a good girl and be your best friend.
If you are interested in bringing me into your family, please email my foster mom at firstname.lastname@example.org. She will tell you all about me. Also, you can check out my Petfinder page to learn more about me.
