Update - Adopted

Meet the infamous Lawson Turner.  He is the most adorable puppy you have ever seen.  He’s almost 5 months old & weighs 6 lbs now.  Unfortunately, he had congenital eye cysts and had to have both of his eyes removed. Lawson is learning all the things this world has to offer a blind dog. He is progressing nicely and we’re even beginning to housbreak.  He’s playful, loves everyone & other dogs.  Two of his favorite things are laps and his red & white “blankie”, that was lovingly knitted for him by a Lone Star supporter.  Lawson may need a young sighted dog  as a playmate and a mom or dad who is home a lot.  He’s bright & eager to learn.  Are you up to training this precious baby to be the best dog & companion?  It’s not that different than training a sighted dog.  He will reward you with kisses everyday.  Your life will be forever enriched with Lawson in it.  He will be ready for adoption Feb. 20.  Get your application in now so you can be the lucky family who adopts Lawson.

Lawson was named after Byron Lawson, a long time devoted foster from Austin, who was recently taken from us by cancer.  His dedication to dogs and Lone Star Rescue was a shining example of true generosity & love. Byron was a very special person and is greatly missed by all who knew him.

We also did a little “painting” of our Lawson to show off his cute face.  Ok, no eyes, but isn’t he special!
