Update - Adopted

Buddy Harris came to us in September 2005 from one of the local shelters as an owner turn in.  He is a beautiful blonde Shih Tzu, between 4-6 years old, and weighs about 10 pounds. When he was rescued, he was heart worm positive which was treated before going to a foster home.  Once he was placed, his foster noticed he seemed to have some difficulty with walking.  He was diagnosed with severe arthritis in his back stifles (Knees).  Buddy needs monthly shots, daily supplements, and lots of TLC. Buddy has a wonderful spirit and is the world’s greatest lap dog! Check out his Petfinder Page to learn more about him.

This is one cute little dog. I’ve met Buddy - he is so unbelieveably sweet and one of the most beautiful little guys.

Buddy is a great looking boy, and like the others, he’s not going to let his problem slow him down. The price of his monthly medication is little to pay for the love and affection he will give you in return.

I am Buddy’s foster mom. Buddy is one of the sweetest little dogs you will ever meet. With his problems, he still has lots of ‘true grit’. He handles his handicap with style. He rarely complains, even though you can see him slowing down as it gets closer to time for his monthly Adequan shot. Once he has it, he really livens up for a few weeks. Currently, he has a play mate in our household that is helping him get more exercise. I think he feels the effects the next day, but he sure seems to love playing with his new friend. Buddy is a little love. He loves to give me daily kisses and sit next to me. He never makes any trouble at all. Just a sweet little boy all the time!

Buddy is so sweet and such the Gentlemen. I have seen him at a few Lone Star events and he likes to sit in his stroller and take it all in. Never worrying about who is petting him or what the other dogs are doing. He knows he is special and loves every minute of it.

What a beautiful boy to win the first “Fluff of the Week”!
We all hope that you soon have your forever home. You certainly deserve it.
