Say hello to Brad Pitt

Little sweet Brad Pitt came to us from a puppymill bust – the conditions have to be pretty bad in Texas for a puppymill to be shut down for inhumane conditions.

Poor Brad (actually we call him Mr. Pitt) came to us with the worst immune system. This is typical of puppymills where Mom and Dad are fed the cheapest and lowest quality food, Mom is bred constantly, and neither are allowed to move around and be dogs! For about a year our veterinarians treated him with standard veterinary allopathic treatment for Demodex. Each time the demodex would come back. For several months now, we have been using alternative treatment on Mr. Pitt. It is a long, slow road to build his poor immune system so that it can ward off these awful mites but we are making progress. As a bonus, he actually acts like a fairly normal dog these days. I think he is becoming comfortable in his own skin (pun intended!) Though I think we are over the hump, he still needs more time, energy, and money to heal!

Mr. Brad Pitt only needs around $100 a month, for his vet visits and meds while he is in our program.  He is looking for five people to subscribe to donate only $20 a month for him.  If you are interested in being one of him sponsors while he remains in our program, you can subscribe via paypal HERE or if you would rather send a check, you can do it HERE.

As of today, Brad has 0 monthly sponsors.

Mr. Pitt continues to slowly climb the hill of true health. He has discovered the joy of chewing on bones. It is a joy to watch. A nice contrast to the sad reminder of the life he and his poor parents must have had with the ruthless breeder! I dream of a world with no puppy mills and an abundance of volunteers and money for rescuers to save these sweet dogs!

Well, almost no one wants to adopt a forever foster but once in a while an angel comes along and loves them like we do. I am so happy to report that a wonderful man named George is Mr. Pitt’s angel. Brad went to live with George in his new forever home in his new state the week of Thanksgiving. George is committed to the last of the healing that Brad needs, and doing it by helping build his immune system naturally so that it lasts! We are so happy for George and for Oscar, as he is known now in his new state! Bless you both!
